100% Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso. Hand-harvested, totally destemmed, and fermented at 24C. Pomace is pressed and wine is left to settle in steel, then bottled. Peduncolo Rosso translates to "Refosco with the red stems" because the stems or stalks of the clusters turn red when the grapes ripen. This is widely regarded as the top quality sub-variety of this varietal. The wines have impressive dark fruit intensity (plum, blackberry), with notes of violets, pepper, forest floor, almond skin and are laced with minerality and tart acidity.
