100% Barbera. Grapes are destemmed and fermented in cement with wild yeasts, no temperature control, for 2 weeks. Wine is then matured 6-8 months in cement tanks, then 2 months in bottle prior to release. GIRASOLE WINE - 20% OFF THRU MAY!
The wine opens with black-skinned berry, dried violet and star anise aromas. The savory, easy-drinking palate delivers blackberry, black pepper and clove flavors set against bright acidity and supple tannins.
Barbera's naturally high acidty and low tannin levels make it extremely versatile with food. Will pair with anything from pasta, pizza, burgers, sauage and peppers, to poultry, grilled meats and tacos.
